New Market Garden Club
35th Anniversary Party at Holly Hills Country Club Friday, June 10, 2011
The Installation of New Officers was conducted by Margye Hixson, Past District Director.
The party and event planners did an outstanding job organizing a fantastic evening. Recognition was given to those who have held previous office and provided dedicated service to the club. Helen Mann was applauded for her years serving as Treasurer. A capsule of the history and awards won by the club was given by MaryLee Matthews and Pat Tarpley. New and prospective members were hopefully impressed at what a small club can contribute to the community. A terrific turnout! Claudia, u were missed but John did his best.
Outgoing President Sue Creamer was given a Life Membership Pin in the Federated Garden Clubs of America. The Burhans were also celebrating an Anniversary 37/47, whatever?
The staff at Holly Hills did their usual thing in providing good service, with a dinner and before’s that were appreciated by all.
As an aside from a husbands perspective—You ladies are special and we are quite fortunate to be included in your social gatherings. I/We thank you.
